The Mission of the Prince George Theatre Workshop Society is to foster and promote community theatre participation in Prince George and to provide an authentic community theatre experience to the public.
Community theatre welcomes all people who want to participate in the world of theatre. When you are a member of our Society you quickly learn that you are part of a community that stretches beyond Prince George and beyond British Columbia. You will be part of a community that stretches across the country and around the world.
The Prince George Theatre Workshop Society is a non-profit Society registered with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency. This means that when you make a donation to the Society we can issue an income tax receipt.
The members of our Society learn to build the sets, hang the lights, make the costumes, perform and work on every aspect of the play’s production and presentation. We are community members. Be with us when the lights go down. You can find out more about joining the Society on the Membership page.

There are many ways to receive information about Society activities and projects. The easiest way to is bookmark our website and check it often for updates and events listings. In addition, each member receives a copy of The Prompt, our newsletter.
How do I get involved?
Each member of PGTW is welcome to attend the monthly meeting of the Board of Directors (usually the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30). Members are encouraged to participate in the running of the club by joining committees chaired by members of the board.
If you are interested in committee work you should check the Contact page for information about contacting the appropriate board member.
Audition ads are published in local newspapers and made available on the website.
Why is it important for members to get invoved?
The number of hours required to produce a season for our patrons is immense. The members of our board put in many long hours. Every bit of help is needed.
