New Gallery!

A new gallery containing programmes from past plays has been added to the site, based on images kindly sent in by Ken Hollands (cheers Ken!). We’re still on the lookout for more programmes, posters and pictures that can be added to the site, so if you have any let us know!

The theatre Prince George built

An old newspaper article

An old newspaper article

Here’s an old newspaper article uploaded by Ken Hollands, which itself references an even older article about the building of the Prince George Playhouse and the founding of the Society. It’s a bit inspirational, ain’t it?

(Click on the thumbnail to see the document. You need a PDF reader, like Adobe Acrobat Reader, to see this file).

To me, this little number makes a statement that’s relevant today… the Society’s going through tough times right now, but it has done so before – and it’s weathered them well.

To anyone else out there who has clippings or other memorabilia, we’d be interested in posting them on the site, so contact me if you have anything to donate. Posters, news articles, programs, photos… all are welcome.

A shout out to our first contributors

Posted July 8th, 2009 by admin

Hi folks,

Just a shout out to our first two contributors: Scott John and Ken Hollands. Scott has contributed some photos from Summer Stage and “Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead”; Ken has scanned in a whole mess o’ programs from years gone by, retrieved from the moldering dpeths of god-knows-where. They’ll all be posted on the website soon.
